We believe our Sustainability Strategy is evident in the way we operate and develop our portfolio.
The central focus of this Strategy is on three aspects: safe and sustainable operations, thriving communities, and responsible products that promote the transition to a net zero carbon future.
To be a leader in delivering sustainable products to power a global transition to a net zero carbon future.
Safe and Sustainable Operations
To maintain the highest levels of safety, efficiency, and resilience.
We set clear safety, environment and social objectives and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement to drive efficiency, quality, and sustainable development.
To cultivate thriving, resilient communities that are autonomous and self-sustaining.
We believe in creating shared value and have defined our strategy to manage, monitor and report performance against community-based sustainable development commitments.
To be the supplier of choice for quality lithium chemicals.
We strive to deliver quality products in a sustainable and transparent manner throughout our global value chain that will contribute to the global transition towards a net-zero carbon economy.
Health and Safety
Our Health and Safety policy outlines our commitment to achieving a zero-harm workplace for all our employees and contractors. This objective is underpinned by our approach to risk management, building capability in our people, monitoring our performance, and continually improving our processes.
The transition away from fossil fuels to low emissions electricity will form a large part of global efforts to reach net-zero. Many regions have already put plans in place to phase out the sale of internal combustion engine (ICE) cars and transition to electric vehicles (EVs).
Our critical place in the EV value chain requires us to be responsive to the needs of our customers and work closely with our suppliers to increase transparency concerning social and environmental performance.
We are committed to the ongoing vitality of the global and local environment and the integrity of the ecosystems that support life in the regions where we operate. We acknowledge that climate change is a shared global challenge that requires collaborative action and engagement. Allkem is committed to the reduction of global greenhouse gas emissions and the transition of its business to net-zero emissions by 2035 considering scope 1 and 2 emissions.
